Loài Vi tảo mới Mallomonas fimbriata phát hiện ở Cam Ranh

Một loài vi tảo mới cho khoa học mang tên Mallomonas fimbriata vừa mới được phát hiện ở các vũng nước thuộc Vịnh Cam Ranh tỉnh Khánh hoà bởi nhà khoa học Evgeniy Sergeevich Gusev và được công bố trên tạp chí Phytotaxa 195(4: 291-296).

Việc mô tả được thực hiện trên việc quan sát hình thái các vảy silica bằng kính hiển vi điện tử quét và truyền. Loài mới này có 3 loại vảy: vảy cơ thể hình bầu dục, những vảy đuôi thô, dài, phía trước tạo thành gai và kéo dài, phát triển rộng ra thành vảy đỉnh. Vảy dày, 3 lớp, cấu tạo mắt lưới bên trong. Vi tảo Mallomonas fimbriata có hình thái khá giống với M. fenestrata, và tạo thành một nhóm đặc biệt với các nét đặc trưng độc đáo của cấu trúc vảy, gần tổ Retrorsae và Quadratae.

Abstract

Mallomonas fimbriata, sp. nov. is described from bog pool, located in Cam Ranh Peninsula, Khanh Hoa Province, Central Vietnam. The description is based on silica-scale morphology studied by means of transmission and scanning electron microscopy. New species has 3 types of scales: oval body scales, caudal ones with robust, long, forward pointing spines and elongated, widened to distal part apical scales. Scales are thick, 3-layered, with inner reticulation. Mallomonas fimbriata and the similar M. fenestrata form a special group with unique features of scales structure close to the sections Retrorsae and Quadratae.
